       The end is in site, I spent the weekend in the studio with 
 the executives from Speak EZ Records. 
 We went over all the songs on the Sexy Stranger Cd and it looks 
 like were going to be on  schedule for the release date this spring.

 due to come out in spring on Speak EZ Records out of Los Angeles.

Congratulations to the NFL superbowl champions the New 
 Orleans Saints! WOW what a game, I loved it.
I spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying the last of  the football 
 season. 
        Im finishing up the details on the new CD its looking
 and sounding good. 
 It should be released sometime in March.

I had planned to go to the 
 parade but the rain changed my plans. 
 Instead I kicked back at the house with a big fire watching the 
 parade  on TV. 
 As I listened to the different stories I remember the impact Dr 
 King had made in my life and the time I spent with him at the March on 
 Washington. 
 That was a powerful day. 
 We must never forget.

Its been a minute, the big news is I just signed 
 a recording contract with new independent record label,
 S P E A K  EZ  R E C O R D S out of Los Angeles CA. 
Im currently in the studio working on my new CD scheduled to 
 drop in April 2010. 
 Titles included: Sexy Stranger, Drownin in My Tear Drops and
 Lady in Black.
The New Years Eve Party was a blast everybody came out to  
 party and have a good time, and we did!
 What happens in 2009 stays in 2009.

 Rehearsal went great and rumor has it that the show is sold out 
 already. 
 The show is at a smaller venue making it an intimate setting for

I was back in the studio this weekend working on the tracks 
 for the upcoming project. 
 Things are coming along very nicely, were making great progress. 
 We have some musicians  coming in this weekend to do their thing

 Im having a great time working at this studio, it is so inspirational. 
 It sits on top of the Hollywood  Hills and has a panoramic view 
 which is breathtaking.

           I went to see the Michael Jackson movie This is it, what 
 a brilliant entertainer. 
 The man was a master at his craft. 
 I couldnt help but remember the time I had spent with him and  how 
 we both had so much in common. 
  Im a writer, he was a writer, we both did not play an  instrument 
 but know exactly what we want from the musicians and how to get it 
 from them. 
 My music has clean lyrics, his music had clean lyrics. 
 Im a perfectionist, he was a perfectionist. 
 I have been active in civil right, he was active in civil rights. 
 The list goes on and on. 
 The world will  never replace Michael Jackson and we should honor 
 him by learning from him and remembering  all he's done for the  
 World. 
 Thank you Michael rest in peace.

      I had a great time watching my San Diego Charger beat New  
 York!  Go Chargers!  Spent the rest  of the day hanging out with  
 the family. 
 We had a fabulous dinner and a great bottle of wine in  front of 
 the fire while we watched the godfather movie again.

           A big thank you to all my FANS that came out to the Halloween 
 Boogie at Friscos in Long  Beach. 
 It was a HUGH success!  People came ready to party with their wild 
 costumes and dancing  shoes. 
 The band and the girls were on FIRE, I think it might have been  
 our best show to date. 
 It was  the first time I had someone throw money at my feet. 
 I loved it. 
 Thank you Long Beach for all your  support. 
 Rumor has it well be back next month.

 We talked about my time in Memphis with Isaac Hayes and Skip Pitts. 
 How I started in the music industry and my travels from DC to LA 
 in pursuit of my dream. 
 We talked about how music had changed over the years and the impact 
 it has had on BLACK music as a whole. 
 We discussed my CD Like Fine Wine, what process it took to make  
 it and what advice I had for young people coming up today in the  
 music industry.

House of Blues Hollywood

 Wow, what an amaing weekend. 
 Friday night I sat in with the band SciRipa at The Hop in Lakewood. 
 What a talented group of musicians. 
 The crowd was having a blast dancing and acting a fool. 
 I met alot of really cool people. 
 Shout out to Valerie and Teresa my two biggest fans. 
   Sunday night I played at the House of Blues Hollywood in the  
 Parish Room. 
 What history, all the performers who had played there before me, 
 wow. 
 It reminded me of the times I sang at the Apollo Theater in New  
 York. 
 Those were fun times!  The evening was electric, the band was tight, 
 the background sang like Angels, the cameras and the fans all added 
 to the  evenings excitement. 
   Special thanks to Team St Lewis- Jana Collins, Kat Pierson, Wally 
 and Chris Roker for all the hard work.

  Good Morning,  Wow August already!  This is a busy month for me with 
 a show at The Hop on the 14th, the House of Blues show on the 16th 
 and the show at Frisco on the 28th. 
 I spent the week going to the different venues to check out the  
 set ups of the room. 
    I went to Santa Monica last night to listen to Queen LaRae one 
 of my background singers man can the girl blow!  It will be great 
 to work with the full band again, Im looking forward to it they  
 sound great.

      This weekend I spent some quality time with my family. 
 Sunday we went to Venice Beach to enjoy the beautiful southern California 
 weather. 
 I love Venice Beach, thats where I met my wife. 
 As we strolled down the boardwalk we talked about all the fun memories 
 we had, then reality hit us, everything we knew and loved about Venice 
 Beach was gone. 
 Its so corporate now. 
 I miss all of the crayness that was Venice Beach. 
  But Ill always have my memories!
